Wallsend West Newcastle ARFC (The Swans) will celebrate its Pride Round with the Wyong Lakes AFC. The Pride Round is about celebrating diversity and inclusion in sport and the fight against discrimination and homophobia. The Swans have commissioned a special Pride Jersey for the day, and the rainbow colours will be prominent on the day (e.g. socks, flags, ground markings etc.), with all our players and supporters. The Family Hotel, Newcastle Pride and Highlite Fitness are sponsors of the jerseys and the day. Women kick off at 12 pm Men kick off at 2 pm. FREE EVENT Pride Cup (Hunter vs Central Coast) – Wallsend West Newcastle Swans vs Wyong Lakes Magpies Proudly supported by Central Coast Pride and Newcastle Pride! This will become an annual event between the two clubs and as such a Pride Cup (‘Hunter Central Coast Pride Cup’) has been commissioned for both the men and the women (so ‘two’ cups for two games). We are hoping this will become a bit of an M1 Derby for the AFL between Hunter and the Central Coast. This will become the first Pride Cup for Regional NSW and will be the ‘kick-off’ event for the Newcastle Pride Festival Week, that runs from 17 August to the 26 August 2019, and is highlighted by the Pride Fair Day at the Foreshore Park on Saturday 24 August, (in the vicinity of the Carriage Sheds) Wharf Road, Newcastle East (from 11am to 6pm).Where

The Melbourne University Softball Club (MUSC) is home to many players, coaches and supporters identifying as part of the LGBTQI+ community. We want to showcase our members of all orientations by hosting a Pride Cup event that would celebrate the contributions of our LGBTQI+ members and athletes everywhere. MUSC is partnering with MU Sport and Pride Cup to put together an evening of softball, food and fun! With many of our members also being juniors this will be a family friendly event. The night will consist of a Welcome Speech, an Exhibition Match between two MUSC teams (with a majority of players from the LGBTQI+ community), and a Trophy Presentation. The Men's T20 match will kick off at 1:30pm with Holy Trinity V Preston Cricket Club. Cricket Victoria is running activities for kids from 10am-12pm.
