Hockey Victoria is thrilled to be hosting the annual Stand Out Cup event again this year! The Stand Out Cup (SOC) is an annual pre-season social event designed to celebrate diversity and inclusivity in hockey. Since its creation in 2015, the event has grown significantly and provided a crucial platform to raise funds and awareness for Proud 2 Play, a not-for-profit organisation that provide essential support to LGBTI+ community members. SOC is the perfect opportunity for current and new players to come and show their support for the LGBTIQ+ community while participating in some fun, modified and social Hockey Sixers matches. Event format: All teams will play a minimum of 3 matches plus a final (if they finish 1st or 2nd in their division). Gradings: A grade: A division recommended for all current hockey members who are looking for a fun, social, and also competitive format of the day. B grade: A division recommended for new and re-engaging hockey members who are looking for a fun, social, and less competitive format. Rules; All matches will be played on modified Hockey Sixers pitches, and follow the Hockey Sixers rules which can be found here. Eligibility; The tournament is a mix gendered event and open to participants aged 14+. Please note that a team entry is for a maximum of 10 players.
